I love making strong statements with color, and I think royal blue is most amenable to that. While bright orange tie/PS/silk knot would be way too much (even for me), an electric/royal blue lets you play around with texture and tone while being a wonderful counterpoint to a cold, gray day or a wonderful companion to a clear blue sky.
